One day of driving to positively redirect life's journey

The DR4K event is an unparalleled opportunity to make a huge impact on the lives of young people by empowering them to believe in themselves and the power they hold to create a successful, purpose filled life and become leaders in our community. Through your involvement and the generous donations of our corporate sponsors and private donors DR4K helps these teens pave the way to a better way to a better future by awarding scholarships and educational grants. We help pave the way to a better future by awarding scholarships and educational grants through our partnership with major corporations, sponsors and private donors giving them the opportunity to follow their dream of going to college.

In addition to an exhilarating day of experiencing some of the most amazing, rare and exclusive vehicles, each teen will have the responsibility of being the "Navigator" for the day. The Rally is designed to allow the kids the opportunity to discover how communication, trust and the value of interdependency play key roles in their success. Each Navigator receives a DR4K Route Map & Guide and an assigned vehicle Rally Number and must be able to pay attention to details, follow directions and instruct the driver to follow the rally route as the Drivers will have no idea as to the location of the stops and checkpoints, so it will be up to the navigators to lead the way. The navigator gains confidence as they work together as a team with their driver.

The DR4K event is also intended to grow young people's interest in collector cars, increase their knowledge and to share our passion for automobiles thus encouraging the next generation of automotive enthusiasts and collectors. By appointing the kids as "Judges", they learn the basics of judging, the details, facts and history of the vehicles with hands-on participation and guidance from an experienced Concours' judge. The "Judges Committee" must communicate and work together in a team environment to reach an agreement and determine the winners of each award. The exercise is designed to build relationships and learn about one another. It is a fun team building experience designed to develop communication skills, respect and decision making which are essential to their future success.

The fun filled day begins as an array of the most beautiful antique, classic and exotic cars arrive and are lined up in preparation for the exciting day ahead. At check-in all Driver's will receive their "Welcome Package" which includes their Navigators Intro Card and an Official DR4K Rally Car Number. The anticipation builds as drivers apply their rally numbers and wait to meet their assigned Navigator.

To create a welcoming and fun environment the teens begin the day with a "Judges Meeting". They will be introduced to their Chief Judge and get acquainted with one another while they learn judging etiquette and what characteristics to look for when judging. They will be given a "Judges Kit" which includes a description and photo of all participating vehicles, judging guidelines and categories of the awards to be presented at the award ceremony.

The anticipation is finally over as the teens are matched up with their respective mentors and become an official DR4K team. The Driver's and their Navigators begin an impactful relationship over the "Start Your Engines" continental breakfast where they are fueled with inspiration by motivational speakers and special guests to begin the day with direction and purpose. All this exuberance, yet the gears have yet to be turned…

Excitement is ignited as the roar of the finely tuned engines start and the procession of teams get ready to embark on the adventure ahead. The rally follows an exhilarating scenic route with various checkpoints such as an automotive museum, restoration shop, private collection or an educational institution focused on transportation design; all selected specifically to provide an opportunity to open the eyes of young people to the wide range of possibilities available in the industry. The rally is designed to build relationships, to experience the camaraderie of the automotive community, to learn about automotive history and most of all to have fun.

Adrenalin will be running high as the teams return from the exhilarating drive to the "Winner's Circle" where they will be joined by influential celebrities, sponsors, media and invited guests and enjoy incredible entertainment and along surprise special guest appearances. The DR4K event concludes with an awards ceremony presenting trophies to the judge's choices and honoring our generous sponsors, partners and donors who make this one-of-its-kind event a possibility.
